ComVeRSS™ (Commander Vertical Retractable Seat System)
Modern military vehicles demand tailor-made solutions. Our ComVERSS is a seat and restraint system intended for application in sitting and standing positions. It is decoupled from the floor, has a rotating bearing and provides protection against shockwaves when mines explode. After detection via a crash sensor, the retraction mechanism and the collapsible seat pan support the natural human sequence of motions. The soldier's knees are pushed horizontally forward and, therefore, the whole body is pulled down and away from the danger zone. This modern seat and restraint concept works without the aid of fluids and can be adapted to suit various types of vehicle. |
